ENTERTAINMENT
Chapter 8 is about entertainment. With the use of Internet, we now have access to many, many videos, movies, and songs. Share with the class one of your favorites.
Here is the link to one of my favorite videos:
http://youtu.be/TWucYbAp8Lk
For me, Michael Jackson was one of the best performers ever. He was a great dancer and his videos were very creative. I like this video of "Smooth Criminal" because of the dancing, the music, and the costumes. I especially like the part where they sway sidesways. It looks like they are about to fall. I read they had special shoes made for that segment which just lasted a couple of seconds. I also liked the part with the kids. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
TASK: Upload one of your favorite videos, movie clips, or songs. Write a short paragraph about it (5-7 sentences).

VIDEO-MEMOIRS
According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, videography is the practice or art of recording images with a video camera.
Memoirs are a person's written account of his or her own life; in other words, an autobiography. (thefreedictionary.com)
To be a little more creative, instead of writing your autobiography, the two will be combined. You will present portions of your life by preparing a moviemaker with photos, videos, words & phrases, and music that tell the viewer something about you. Be creatiive!!
TASK: Each student should prepare his/her own video-memoirs using Moviemaker. Include photos, music, word & phrases. You can also include videos of yourself if you have any. Include a title page and credits at the end. Upload video to your blog. Write a short introduction before the video (3-4 sentences). Duration of video: minimum 4 minutes.
